The cost of running for Congress is higher than ever. The national political committees have made it their priority to raise millions of dollars in an effort to concentrate their power in Washington.

I need your help! I have made my career one of fighting for Southwestern and Southern Illinois and being effective even when the environment in Washington is more partisan than ever. Working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address important issues to our region, with your help I have tried to make a difference for our state and our region. Nothing less than the future of our children and grandchildren is at stake.

We've made great progress in recent years, bringing home our fair share of tax dollars for important transportation and economic development projects that have brought with them new jobs. I have tried to be your voice in Washington, coming home on the weekends to spend time listeneing to my constituents at town hall meetings. Your contribution to my campaign will help return me to Congress to be your advocate. I would greatly appreciate any contribution that you can make.
